Potty Training Adventures
After lunch I asked Penelope to pick up her blocks and get ready for nap time. She took off running. I went to go find her in the back bedrooms (her go to hiding spots) and couldn't find her. I began yelling for her. The last place I looked was her bathroom. There she was sitting on the toilet peeing. Not only did she get her chair down, put it on top of our toilet, she took off her diaper threw it in the trash, climbed up by herself and pottied!!!

Penelope getting ready to go on the lift with Daddy
Smile for Mommy!
Before her run she said, "WOW WOW WOW!" While clapping her hands. It was super entertaining to watch her excitement!!!
I took the pic in mid clap. All I can imagine when I see this image, is her cousin Elijah saying, "come at me bro bro!"
"Made the mistake of taking this lift to an area with no green runs, only blues.....and she killed it! She's starting to carve on her own!" -Andrew

Park fun turned into a running adventure
Our morning was off to a late start! Which means WE BRUNCH!
This kid and her "Cheers!" I see a lot of toasts and speeches in her future!
After brunch we got ready for the day and headed to the nearby park 15 minutes away.

We started off with a nice little jog around the lake.
Followed by some fun on the swings and of course "big slide" time!
The rest... is well,
A mother just trying to find healthier new vices and ways of dealing with stress management. After a week of rain and recovering from the holidays, I just felt like running. I hadn't ran since like October. But I tell you as soon as my feet hit the concrete I just went. I pushed Penelope in the jogger (all 28 lbs of her) up and down the hills in ALT. Before I knew it I was almost to our old neighbor's house.
Nothing like looking down at your phone and realizing how far you've come only to remember you have to leave to work the front desk at the gym in less than 1.5 hours. Talk about a push.
I literally had to text Andrew in the middle of Penelope's melt down to ask him to pray for me that we could make it back in time without having to be picked up!
Once we got home I had time to shower, make a salad and run out the door. I got to work right as my shift started.
That elevation tho!!! Wow.

Perfect Parents don't exist!
Basically. My favorite is looking back on all the opinions I so "wisely" had about being a parent before I was one.
"I'll do this! I'll never do that! How could they have done that?"
Now I get it. Only been like 2 years and I get the point. I'm sure the next will be different. However, in the mean time I'm just going to keep on keeping on!

Penelope's 2nd Snow fall at home
Penelope's new thing:
Whenever she gets: mad, irritated, tired, annoyed or simply doesn't want to do something she's been pretending to be asleep. Without a doubt probably one of the funniest things ever!
